Saturday afternoon, after Jeff and BigBull took part in
Arizona Jones sidewalk show, we headed back to the Port and took in Princes
Pier.

Newly renovated Princes Pier. |
Princes Pier is the second largest wood pilings pier in
Australia, which is right next to Stations Pier, the first largest wood pilings
pier in Australia. Princes Pier was made
of 5000 wood pilings. The area has been
refurbished with the dock house being completely rebuilt and the dock area
redone. It has a lot of open space for
events; hopefully we’ll get to see one in the future.

Some of the 5000 pilings. |

Art installation on the other side of the Princes Pier Sign. |
The area is very artsy and the weird thing is that the
Turnbull’s were in some of the art installations.
|
The Turnbull's. |
One of the really cool things about
the space is that all of the benches are made from the hulls of old wooden
boats that have docked at Princes Pier.

Bench from the SS Strathnaver. |

Bench from the SS Skaugum. |
