Foley Shi(r)ts.

our friend patrick is a fan of USA inspired apparel.  his wife is not.  as a result, he has lost TWO USA flag shirts...one of which jeff and i provided when USA flag shirt #1 was conveniently disposed of by michelle.  oddly enough, michelle also had a hand in the disposal of USA flag shirt #2 - she gave it to her dad!!

jeff was emailing with patrick a couple of weeks ago and told him that we were going to go to the President's Cup Golf Tournament in Melbourne on November 20th, and made the comment that he hoped to find a shirt to "represent" the U..S..A.

patrick quickly responded (too quickly in my opinion) that he would help us.

well, this week, while jeff was traveling, a package arrived.  i knew that i had to wait to open it until jeff returned from his trip...boy am i glad i waited.
sent from the USA with love
jeff's first glimpse of our surprise
just in case i wanted to wear it to work this week, this note
will remind me that in fact, i must wear only to the
President's Cup
jeff got home around 11.30pm and the first thing he did was grab the package to find out what our great friends had sent to us.  i'm not even sure that words can express the "Americanism" of these shirts, so i'll let you get the full impact for yourselves.
jeff is REALLY excited...
...while I am wondering what i will wear with the shirt...
one of our favorite parts of said shirts...."Made in Bangladesh."
hard to see, but it says, "made in bangladesh"
thank you patrick, michelle, and jake.  we will wear them with pride and we'll be sure to record the australian coverage, as we're sure to make the news.

ps - i was telling my boss about this and sent him a picture.  his simple response, "and that is why I love america."
pps - we love to get mail and care packages...hint, hint...

  1. Woooo! I was afraid that with the announcement of the pending US occupation of Australia, the aussie government wouldn't let these "uniforms" in.

PS. Be sure to wear asbestos underwear with those shirts. When the Star Spangled Banner is played, fireworks will shoot out of your

  2. Since your shirts pushed USA to victory, I'd figure that you'd have some updated pictures with Freddy Couples and Tiger and the team.
